On hot summer days, a refreshing dip can do some good. This can be done for free in the Badesee in Donnersbachwald. Here you can enjoy a swim with the ski slope in the background. Around it, there is a nice grassy meadow and some sports fields.
In Donnersbachwald, there are plenty of leisure options. At the valley station of the Riesneralm, you can rent bikes, plan a nice route and have a nice trip by bike.
The 360-degree view from the Schoberspitze is impressive. It is as if the world is at your feet. At the horizon, we can see the Grimming, the Schladminger Tauern and the Dead Mountains.
Purgg has something. It is a tiny village that is car-free. Everything is built around 2 churches and there is a beautiful view of the Ennstal. You can eat well there and there are some nice walks starting from here.
In the Wörschachklamm, we hike on wooden steps and platforms between steep rocks and thundering waterfalls. Afterwards, we enjoy the beautiful view from the Wolkenstein Burg ruins.
The Deneck walk is a tough but beautiful hike. We pass three lakes, a high plateau and end on a mountaintop. Variation guaranteed.
