We have repeatedly said that Donnersbachwald is a picturesque village but the proof of the pudding is in the eating. Sometimes we have to see things with our own eyes to believe them. Beauty is hard to describe in words. Therefore a few pictures often say more than a thousand words.

We are in early November. A few days ago, we were still walking in our T-shirts. This morning, however, we woke up with a beautiful snow carpet. How beautiful that is. Time to dig out our walking boots, put on some warm clothes and slip on our gloves. Let’s set off on foot from Haus Erna and simply cross the valley. On the main road, we turn left over the bridge and, just past the bridge, we turn immediately right. We then follow the road uphill and, after about 150 metres, take the bend to the right. A little further on, we first pass a house and a barn. From here, it’s pure enjoyment. What stunning views … . Don’t forget to look back every now and then. From here, you have a magnificent view of the holiday village and the Donnersbach Valley. We walk on like this for a bit, cross a babbling brook and take the path to the right in front of the house, which then immediately turns left again. This way, we get back on the road and walk back to the park. Enough words, pictures now.
