Donnersbachwald is a hidden pearl. It is a small picturesque village located at the end of a valley. The road stops just past the village, no through traffic, from here it’s on foot or by bike. No mass tourism, just nature, your travelling companions and from time to time an occasional desolate mountain hut.

About the chalet park
Feriendorf Donnersbachwald is located in the middle of nature, 1.5 km from the Riesneralm valley station. It is built on a gently sloping hillside next to a babbling brook. All chalets are separate from each other on a 500 – 600 m2 plot of land. This ensures you have plenty of privacy.
Haus Erna is centrally located on the park not far from the public car park. From the covered terrace, you can enjoy the view on the end of the valley. From this holiday home, you can experience pure Austria.

About the region
In summer
In summer, you come here for nature, adventure and culture. You can do endless hiking here. In addition, you can do E-biking, E-motorcrossing (for children), archery, fly-fishing, swimming and much more.
In winter
In winter, you come here for skiing, cross-country skiing or hiking. The Riesneralm ski lift is less than 2 km away. The cross-country ski run starts from the chalet park. Looking for some variation? Other ski resorts are not so far away and can be easily reached by car.
